28/07/2005   PeterStar Internet Access Available Via ATMs of Promyshlenno-Stroitelny Bank

ZAO PeterStar and OAO Promyshlenno-Stroitelny Bank (PSB) have proceeded to cooperation on selling PIN Codes of PeterStar’s Multi- and Internet cards via PSB’s ATMs.

Today there are over 400 ATMs around the city and in Metro’s lobbies. Technical preparation of this project has been practically completed – at the end of July mass connection of PSB’s ATM network was launched in order to prepare for opening the new service. PeterStar is the first telecommunications company to carry out PIN sales via PSB’s ATMs.

Thus from August 1, 2005 it will be possible to effect payments for Internet access and IP telephony services under PeterStar cards in any nominal value via the PSB ATM network. This service is available for owners of worldwide payment cards such as VISA INTERNATIONAL and MASTER CARD INTERNATIONAL emitted by any bank. Not only PBS’s customers but also those of other banks may buy PeterStar’s cards via ATMs. In this case no extra interest will be charged for the transaction. It’s believed in OAO Promyshlenno-Stroitelny Bank that “such possibility of purchasing Internet cards via ATMs will attract new customers, as well as pleasing patrons”.

Obtaining PIN codes via ATMs provides a number of advantages for users. First of all, an economic one: - a 10% discount for all buyers. Moreover, this is just quickly and easy, for there is no need to cash money and then look for a dealer selling PeterStar cards. Many ATMs operate round the clock, so cards are available 24 hours a day. Plus a developed ATM network around the city considerably increases the number of card sales points. For instance, the service is available in the nearest suburbs (Pushkin, Kolpino).

The procedure of obtaining PIN codes is extremely simple. A user is to insert a plastic card in an ATM, select on the menu the item “Payment for Communication Services”, enter the card’s PIN Code and choose a desired nominal value of the card. The amounts correspond with nominal values of PeterStar Internet access and IP telephony cards – 3, 5, 10, 25 and 40 conventional units. It’s also possible to choose hour cards “3+1”, “5+2” and “10+3”, as well as the card “Yellow Dog Night Club”.

Having carried out the above actions, the ATM issues a receipt containing data required to take advantage of Internet and telephone communication services: PIN code, access password, number of modem pool and 24x7 support service. No extra cost is born by the plastic card owner: - no commission is charged for transferring money.
