The PeterStar Company has modernized its corporate resource management system by applying a new solution based on Microsoft Business Solutions – Axapta. This new ERP system – Axapta – will allow the company to optimize laboriousness of business accounting, as well as improving financial streams management in the conditions of regional development.

The project was launched last May in cooperation with specialists of the CORUS Consulting Company. To date PeterStar’s full value computer-aided accounting system includes modules of fixed and intangible assets accounting, receivable and payable accounting, forming and writing off deferred liabilities, as well as a module of calculating tax registers and forming financial statements under Russian and foreign standards. The amount of investment in the project made approx. USD200 thousand.

According to specialists of CORUS Consulting, the PeterStar project has appeared to be one of the most complex and labor consuming. In many cases capabilities of the standard option of Microsoft Axapta were revised and updated. For instance, the mechanism of VAT accounting in part of VAT presenting for compensation was considerably revised in order to take account of legislative requirements. There were also improved the modules of capital investment accounting, mechanisms of calculating exchange and sum differences, fixed assets amortization charging, tax registers and accounting under international standards. To settle all these tasks special-purpose add-ons to Microsoft Axapta were developed.
