01/05/2003 Purchase PeterStar Multicards at Sberbank’s ATM!
PeterStar and Northwest Sberbank have signed an agreement on accepting payments for Internet access and IP telephony services via an ATM network.
From May 1, 2003, owners of a Cirrus or Maestro card issued by any bank are able to purchase telecommunications services using a modern and accessible method. At present, Northwest Sberbank has about 300 ATMs all over the city.
The procedure is very easy. The user inserts his or her card into the ATM, chooses the menu item “Payment for Communication Services”, enters the card’s PIN Code and selects the amount to be transferred to his or her personal account. The amounts correspond to the nominal values of PeterStar Internet and IP telephony cards – 5, 10, 25 or 40 conventional units. Upon completion, the ATM issues a receipt containing information for using Internet and telephone services: PIN code, access password, modem pool and round-the-clock support telephone numbers. The card owner incurs no extra cost, and no commission is charged for money transfer.
