ATM
The PeterStar dedicated channel services enjoy wide popularity, for they
provide the highest quality and reliability of communication at a rather
flexible pricing system providing for reductions depending on the total
capacity of subscriber terminals purchased. The dedicated channel network
is built on the transport fiber-optics network based on the SDH (Synchronous
Digital Hierarchy) structure. |

Frame
Relay
The Frame Relay network is based on frame switching technology. In this
case information is transmitted over an efficient transport network. Customers
access the service via digital subscriber terminals. The most popular Frame
Relay application consists in constructing expandable corporate networks
and providing Internet access. |

MPLS
The PeterStar VPN service is based on MPLS (Multiprotocol Label Switching)
technology, which provides the following capabilities:
- Integration of all-type traffic (including voice) within a single
network environment;
- Protectability of data transmitted;
- Organization of telephone conferences and videoconferences;
- Guaranteeing and reliability of data transmission due to MPLS virtual
paths laid on the PeterStar backbone network;
- Provision of various-level services depending on the customer needs;
- Quick change of the network’s parameters and configuration.

LRE
LRE (Long Reach Ethernet) technology can be conventionally considered as
ADSL and SDSL technology simultaneously. LRE technology allows the
organization of a symmetric data rate (SDSL) while retaining analog
telephone communication. |

EOF
The EoF (Ethernet over Fiber) service represents the organization of a
10/100 Mbps dedicated digital channel. Such a channel can be organized
over fiber-optics cable only. |

SDH
The network of digital dedicated channels is built on the transport fiber
network based on the SDH (Synchronous Digital Hierarchy) structure.
The PeterStar transport network was put into service in the spring
of 1994. The fiber-optics technology STM-16 used provides a data speed
on backbone lines of up to 2.4 Gbps. |
