Dedicated Channel Access to the Internet for Home and Small Offices
PeterStar offers a wide range of services on dedicated channel access to the
Internet oriented toward private users and small offices. Modern technology
allows the organization of inexpensive (which cost is comparable with modem
access) high-speed channels perfectly good for home and a company with a small
volume of traffic consumed (so called SO/HO – Small Office / Home Office)
With your telephone line being non-busy you obtain a high connection speed
(128 Kbps to 10 Mbps), permanent access with no necessity of trying to reach
the called number, and round-the-clock stable operation in the Internet.
We arrange dedicated channels based on the following technology:
- ADSL
ADSL technology (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) perfectly suits its use
as a “home Internet” or in a small company. To access the Internet under ADSL
usual telephone wires are used, with this considerably reducing its installation.
You obtain permanent access to the Internet at speeds from 128 Kbps to 8 Mbps
with your telephone line being non-busy
- RDSL
RDSL technology (Reach Digital Subscriber Line). To get access under the RDSL
technology copper lines are also used, and similarly to ADSL your telephone
will not be busy. Access under this technology is less critical in terms of
the quality of existing wires; therefore in certain cases its use is more preferable
than ADSL. RDSL allows data rates of up to 1 Mbps for two-way transmission
over distances of up to 11 km
- LRE –
for offices located in business centers and condominiums
LRE (Long Reach Ethernet) technology is mainly used for connecting several
customers situated at one location (offices in business centers, elite dwelling
houses with a small number of apartments). This technology allows the organization
of symmetric data speeds (SDSL)
while keeping available analog telephone communication. Using LRE allows a
subscriber to get an access speed of up to 3 Mbps. The length of a line the
LRE technology may apply makes 1000 m.
Depending on your needs (access speed, traffic volume, budget) we will assist
you in choosing the most optimal solution. Our flexible tariffing policy will
make it possible for you to select a suitable connection option. When selecting
the service, try to answer the following question:
- What average volume of information do you consume monthly?
- What are the prospects of increasing the volume of traffic consumed as your
business expands?
- Do you need to use the Internet channel for accessing corporate databases
of Web resources?
- Are you facing at the moment a task of combining local area networks into
a single network and whether this task is likely to appear in the future?
- Do you use multimedia applications accessible via the Internet?
Answers to these and other questions will help you to choose an option suiting
your business tasks best of all.
