  • Question: How can I access the Internet?
Answer:To access the Internet via a telephone line, a subscriber must have the following: a PC; modem; telephone line; Internet access program, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer; and a mail program, such as Outlook Express. To get dial-up Internet access services, you can purchase the PeterStar Payment Card.

Question: What do you mean by “payment cards”?
Answer: These cards are not Internet access cards (they do not contain a login or password), but are a way of paying for dial-up Internet access services (each card has a card number and PIN code for activation). These cards are intended for one-time replenishment of the personal account of registered clients and individual customers.

Question: What should I do if I’m not a registered client?
Answer: You can register in the section Registration of New User on our serverhttp://www.peterstar.ru.

Question: How can I use your server if I have no Internet access?
Answer: You can register with no Internet access. To do this, you can use the guest login by specifying star as the login and peterstar as the password. The modem access telephone number is 320-3370.

Question: How much does it cost to register?
Answer: Registration under any of our tariff plans is free of charge.

Question: : Is it difficult to register?
Answer: We have tried to simplify the process; usually, it takes 10 to 15 minutes.

Question: How does the registration process work?
Answer: When registering, you should do the following:
      1. Connect to the Internet under the guest login.
      2. Open your Internet browser (for example, Internet Explorer) and enter http://www.peterstar.ru in the address line.
      3. Go to the section Registration of New User.
      4. Familiarize yourself with the terms and conditions of the contract for the provision of dial-up Internet access services payable in advance.
      5. Input the relevant fields (card number and PIN code) specified on your card.
      6. Fill in your personal information (full name and telephone number).
      7. Choose the service package (tariff plan) you want.
      8. Having obtained your login and password, write them down for further use when connecting to the Internet.
      9. Upon obtaining your login and password, register your mailbox by going on your statistics page to the section “Create Mailbox”.
Question: How much does it cost to register a mailbox?
Answer: One mailbox is included in every tariff plan at no cost. If you want to organize more than one mailbox, each additional mailbox will cost two dollars per month.

Question: Is it necessary to register again after purchasing a new card?
Answer: You need to register only once, after purchasing the first card. By purchasing more cards, you can top up your personal account. You can do this on the statistics page in the section Account Management by specifying your registration data (login, password) in the relevant fields.

Question: What do I get by purchasing your card?
Answer: All subscribers may take advantage of the following:
      1. Modem access to the Internet.
      2. One free mailbox with an address of the type user_name@peterstar.ru, capacity up to 10 megabytes, accessible using the ÐÎÐ3 protocol.

Question: What if I want to buy several cards?
Answer: You may activate all of them. In this case, the number of conditional units transferred to your account will be equal to the sum of nominal values of the cards being activated.

Answer: The maximum term a registered account can exist without payment is 6 months.
