Connection Terms

General Conditions

1. The Service “ADSL COMFORT” is arranged and rendered only on the PeterStar line registered for a physical person;
   
   
2. The Service “ADSL COMFORT” is rendered only to the residents of Vassilievski Island – PeterStar subscribers served under the tariffs of OAO North-West Telecom;
   
   
3. Information about the Subscriber should be specified in the Subscribers’ Application, i.e. about the physical person the telephone line is registered for.

Requirements for Subscriber Telephone Line

1. Telephone line should be registered for a physical person.
   
   
2. Subscriber’s telephone line should be served under the tariffs of OAO North-West Telecom.
   
   
3. Service “ADSL COMFORT” is not provided on multiple-access telephone lines (in communal flats).
   
   
4. Subscriber should have no debt to ZAO PeterStar for telephone communication services.
   
   
5. Telephone line should be neither “shared” nor operated via any multiplexing equipment.
   
   
6. No special equipment should be installed on such telephone line, in particular:
   • Intruder alarm equipment
   • Blockers

Requirements for Subscriber’s PC

1. CPU of 200MHz and higher
   
   
2. Main memory of 64Mbytes
   
   
3. Network card with the interface Ethernet 10Base-T (in case of connection over Ethernet cable) or USB (in case of connection over USB cable)
   
   
4. Operating system Windows 95/98/2000/XP/NT 4.0 and higher. Note: operating system Windows NT 4.0 can only be used on the ADSL equipment with the interface Ethernet 10Base-T.
