Call Divert
One way to increase the efficiency of incoming call processing is to divert
incoming calls to another telephone number, making it possible to answer all
callers.
There are three types of call divert:
Immediate Call Divert
This service provides automatic diversion of calls to any preprogrammed number.
For example, incoming calls to telephone numbers of employees who happen
to be absent can be redirected to any other telephone either in the office
or outside, meaning no calls will be lost.
Call Divert on Busy
Using this service, all incoming calls will be diverted to a preset number if
a line is busy, so any customer calling you will be answered rather than
receiving a busy tone.
Call Divert on No Reply
This service diverts incoming calls to a preset number if there is no reply from
the called number. If employees need to leave the office, they will be able
to divert all incoming calls to another number.
Conference Calling
Using conference calling, customers at different locations can take part in the same conversation. Being able to discuss issues on the telephone with all parties involved provides lots of advantages, such as obtaining immediate answers from all parties, rather than having to wait on the results of additional conversations.
Call Waiting
The most important feature of call waiting is being able to answer an incoming
call while keeping your first caller on the line. Having answered the second
caller, you can continue speaking with the first caller, or switch from one
line to another if necessary. Using this service means you can field a second
incoming call – and increase the total number of calls you receive.
Hunting Group
A hunting group (or multi-channel telephone) combines several lines into a
single telephone number for all incoming calls. All incoming calls come to
one common number, which can be used in advertising; within the hunting group,
these calls are distributed among the lines available at the moment. Using
this service, customers do not have to remember and dial different telephone
numbers, and you will be able to increase the number of accepted calls by distributing
them correctly.
